The primary functions of this role are: -Serves MRPS students who are accessing special education services within the SEL context-Serves on the Resiliency Team & SEL Tier 3 Team-Implements & progress monitors SEL special education services -acts as the main SEL special education service provider as well as supporting other students-serves on special education teams for the students they are serving as the SEL expert to help the team develop SEL goals & accommodations/supports -Completes special education progress monitoring requirements -Consistently uses Panorama to track SEL Interventions, Progress-Monitoring, Behavior, and Communication- Works with our SEL proficiency scales to focus on the specific skills the student needs. We are looking for someone who has worked with SEL skill teaching with students (ideally in middle school). Could be licensed in the following areas: Special Education, School-based Social worker, or School-based Counselor Vermont is an incredibly progressive state in the world of education and Montpelier Roxbury Public Schools lead the effort in many areas.
