Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Social Work or related field (MSW required)
- Valid state licensure or certification as a School Social Worker
- Prior experience supporting K-12 students within a school setting
- Strong understanding of child and adolescent development and crisis intervention
- Excellent communication, case management, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate with educators, administrators, and families from diverse backgrounds
- Familiarity with IEP processes and developing individualized plans is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group counseling to address academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to address barriers to student success
- Support the development and implementation of intervention programs
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, IEPs, and professional development
- Maintain accurate, confidential records for all assigned students
- Advocate for students’ well-being and access to resources within the school community
