We are seeking a motivated and organized Assistant Project Manager to support commercial construction projects from planning through completion. This is a great opportunity for an early-career professional looking to build project management experience in a fast-paced construction environment.
Candidates with limited project management experience are encouraged to apply. Experience in construction, project coordination, operations, engineering, administration, or a related field is helpful, but direct HVAC or mechanical experience is not required. The ideal candidate is someone who is organized, willing to learn, comfortable communicating with different teams, and interested in developing a long-term career in project management.
Responsibilities:
> Assist Project Managers with assigned commercial construction projects from kickoff through closeout.
> Help maintain project schedules, documentation, logs, and correspondence.
> Assist with equipment submittals, RFIs, change orders, and other project documentation.
> Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments.
> Track project schedules, costs, materials, and other project requirements.
> Help communicate project updates and outstanding items to customers and internal teams.
> Assist with identifying and resolving project issues and escalating concerns when needed.
> Learn project scope, contracts, specifications, budgets, schedules, and construction processes.
> Support project managers with customer communication and project coordination.
> Develop the knowledge and skills needed to take on increasing project management responsibilities over time.
Qualifications:
> High School Diploma or GED
> Valid Driver’s License
> 0–2 years of project management, project coordination, construction, operations, or related experience
> Strong organizational and communication skills
> Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
> Willingness to learn construction processes and project management responsibilities
> Ability to work in both office and construction site environments
