Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate assistant to help Dr. Brenda Arnett in her solo outpatient Internal Medicine Clinic. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and assist Dr. Arnett in all ways in her Internal Medicine practice. You will get hands on experience with One-On-One physician shadowing as well as experience triaging, rooming patients, EKGs, vital signs, rare house calls. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
**Prefer previous experience, 2 yrs if possible
**Work is 4 full work days, with 1 HALF day a week for admin/Flex Time. No working weekends. 2 weeks paid vacation and 1 week paid sick leave the first year. Physician, sees on average, 8 patients per day.
**There are additional items if remain at this job for 1 year + including more paid time off, scrubs allowance, help with tuition or classes.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, administering injections, EKGs and assisting physician in physical exams.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems.
- Able to call and scribe prescriptions.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up procedures.
- Stock rooms, Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary equipment is ready for use.
- As small physicians office, there is some cross over between receptionist and medical assistant/RN/LPN/scribe position at times.
Experience
- Previous experience is required.
- Familiarity with outpatient settings and patient care best practices is essential.
- Familiarity with EPIC is a bonus
- Knowledge of Winchester Medical Center and affiliates is a PLUS.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are required.
