Duties
- Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, styling, coloring, and hair extensions to meet each client’s unique preferences.
- Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently.
- Apply color theory principles to create customized color treatments that enhance each client’s look.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools, stations, and equipment regularly to ensure a safe environment.
- Offer additional beauty services like eyelash extensions, nail care, and makeup application to provide comprehensive client care.
- Engage with clients through excellent communication skills to understand their needs and recommend suitable products or services for upselling.
- Mentor junior team members and assist in store management tasks to foster a collaborative and professional salon atmosphere.
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license with experience in hair styling and grooming techniques.
- Proficiency in hair extensions, hair threading, and straight razor shaving is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of sanitation practices and salon safety regulations.
- Familiarity with salon management software such as MINDBODY for appointment booking and retail tracking.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with diverse clients.
- Experience in retail sales, retail math, upselling techniques, and store management is a plus.
