Loah Management Group offers In-Home care to Adult clients in a Residential Facility. We are seeking direct support professionals who have a gift for working with individuals that need compassion, support, and excellent care. Our goal is to Empower, Encourage, and have Empathy for our clients to lead successful and independent lives in their community.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Encourages residents to do as much of their own care as possible.
- Manage behaviors through the utilization of standard intervention techniques
- Assists residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring and getting to and from activities and meals according to the individual service plan
- Initiates and participates in leisure activities provided for residents as described in the activity calendar.
- Encourages residents to socialize and participate in planned activities or programs to develop friendships with other residents.
- Assist residents with medications daily as directed by client’s Physician, Psychiatrist, and or other healthcare team.
- Performs general housekeeping, maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment for the residents.
- Provide accurate documentation pertaining to resident’s daily notes, medication administration records, behavior tracking.
- Documents medication distribution as applicable, leisure activities, incidents, and observations; reports any changes in resident’s physical condition and/or behavior, and visitors; observes and reports the health and emotional condition of each resident; and promptly reports all changes to the supervisor.
- Maintains residents’ records in accordance with company policy and procedures in a timely manner.
- Transport and supervise residents on community outings, medical appointments, and other activities based on the individuals in our care needs.
- Attend training and implement appropriate training techniques on the job such as CPI, CPR, and any other industry specific trainings
- Follows proper procedures in emergency situations and responds promptly and positively to resident requests for assistance.

- Physical ability to reach with hands and arms; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and lift up to 50 lbs. while avoiding potential injury from transferring, repositioning, or lifting residents if necessary
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Must be over 18 years of age
- Must be fingerprinted, pass DOJ/FBI background; able to maintain background clearance
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must have a valid CA driver’s license, current registration and insurance
- Minimum of 1+ years of professional and personal experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities ( Highly Recommended )
- CPR/First Aid Certified (Recommended) , (Required to receive within 6 months of hire
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour
