Tharanco Group is seeking a Full-Time Associate Designer to work directly with our Greg Norman Clubs and Retail Division. This position will be based out of our New York office with Remote Fridays!
Tharanco Group designs, sources, and sells Men’s (Golf Apparel, Dress Shirts, Active/Outdoor Apparel) and Women’s (Dresses, Sweater & Knit Tops) apparel to major retailers and boutiques/pro-shops in the US and through its own Direct to Consumer channels (Ecommerce & Retail Stores). Responsibilities:
- Partner with Design leadership, Sales and Merchandising teams on seasonal SKU development plans.
- Must adhere to the established time and action product development calendar.
- Ability to react to fast track styles as per customer needs.
- Research market trends in color, print & pattern within golf market and lifestyle sectors.
- Identify additional brand applicable trend & opportunities for discussion.
- Remain current with competitor products and trends.
- Collaborate with Design & Sales leadership as you design assortments.
- Must have knowledge of performance fabrications, attributes and details.
- Design and develop on-product trim, i.e. buttons, zippers, tapings that are relevant to the products.
- Partner with Merchandising throughout the design process from ideation through final BOM review pass o .
- Responsible for all Tech Pack and BOM creation.
- Partner with technical design in fittings weekly.
- Responsible for the review, comments and approval of all seasonal lab dips from development through production.
- Organize and maintain seasonal lab dip and print strike o developments catalog.
- Build & maintain Club or Retail customer seasonal linesheets.
Experience Needed:
- Ability to work in a fast paced design driven environment interacting with several cross functional business partners.
- Understanding of SMU product life-cycle from concept to market.
- Must have strong color sensibility.
- Must have knowledge of print processes on synthetic and natural fabrics.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, ability to be proactive and pursue opportunities to improve the overall business & it’s processes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Passion for the product development process.
