Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across various areas such as offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces.
- Conduct detailed floor care activities such as buffing, waxing, stripping, and polishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance.
- Use commercial cleaning equipment and supplies effectively while adhering to safety protocols.
- Restock supplies like paper towels, soap dispensers, and toilet paper to ensure availability for staff and visitors.
- Assist with light maintenance tasks including minor repairs or reporting larger issues to the appropriate team.
- Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure consistent quality across all facilities.
- Maintain cleanliness logs and report any safety hazards or maintenance needs promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care (buffing, stripping), industrial cleaning methods, and general facilities maintenance.
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as buffers, floor scrubbers, or vacuums safely and efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality.
- Good physical stamina with the ability to stand, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
