Overview
Looking for someone to work SATURDAYS and a couple days a week for summer till October, our dynamic team as a Sandwich Maker and Cashier, where your energy and enthusiasm will create a welcoming atmosphere for every customer. Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of sandwiches and food items efficiently, maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.
- Operate POS systems such as toast
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance the dining experience.
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change.
- Maintain cleanliness in the food prep area, including cleaning workstations, and ensuring proper sanitation procedures are followed.
- Manage time effectively during busy hours to ensure quick service without sacrificing quality.
- Assist with food handling, stocking supplies, and supporting kitchen operations as needed to ensure smooth restaurant flow.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or quick service restaurants is highly preferred; café or grocery store experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS system
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities.
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations confidently.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience in food industry roles such as serving, bussing, or cashiering is advantageous.
- Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
