Registered Nurse (RN) — Med Surg / Telemetry
Location: Lexington, KY 40503
Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts | 36 hours per week
Weekly pay: $1850.00 - $2,110.00
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Required Qualifications
- Active Kentucky RN License
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience
- PCU (Progressive Care Unit) experience required
- BLS certification
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) or higher
- Recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience within the past year
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN preferred
- Previous nursing experience in an acute-care setting
- 5+ years of Med Surg/PCU experience preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing reassessments.
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care, treatments, and procedures.
- Accurately document patient care and clinical interventions.
- Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and care plans.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Delegate patient care responsibilities appropriately.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and core measure activities.
