Gather and verify admission documentation — medical records, insurance information, financial details, and personal preferences
Coordinate with clinical and support departments to prepare for each new resident's arrival
Complete and manage all admissions paperwork, including consents and agreements
Maintain accurate, up-to-date resident records
Represent the facility to prospective residents and families through tours and marketing materials
Build and maintain relationships with referral sources such as hospitals and community organizations
Assist with insurance verification, pre-certification, and payment options
Uphold every resident's dignity, rights, and respect throughout the admissions process and beyond
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, social work, psychology, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered)
Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility admissions is essential
Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and HMO processes and reimbursement procedures
Familiarity with electronic health record systems, especially PointClickCare, a plus
Excellent organizational skills and a sharp eye for detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and stay composed under pressure
A genuine interest in caring for the elderly and a collaborative, professional attitude
Reliable attendance and a professional demeanor
