Cabinet Finishing Experience is REQUIRED
Kudzu Staffing is seeking an experienced cabinet finisher for a cabinetry company in Monroe, NC. This role involves sanding, staining, painting, repairing structural damage, replacing hardware, and ensuring high-quality finishes for residential or commercial cabinetry projects. Candidates have to have experience finishing cabinets and have their own transportation.
Requirements of the Cabinet Finisher:
- 2+ Years Cabinet Finishing Experience
- Personal Transportation
- Able to lift and carry 50+ lbs
- Pass drug and background screening
- Authorized to work in the US
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect cabinets to assess damage and restoration needs
- Remove old finishes (paint, varnish, stain) using sanding or stripping techniques
- Repair dents, scratches, cracks, and structural issues
- Replace or repair cabinet doors, hinges, handles, and drawer systems
- Apply stains, paints, sealants, and protective finishes
- Match colors and finishes to customer specifications
- Maintain tools and ensure safe workshop practices
- Clean and prepare job sites before and after projects
- Communicate with clients regarding project timelines and expectations
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in carpentry, woodworking, or furniture refinishing
- Knowledge of wood types, stains, paints, and finishing products
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Good color-matching ability
- Physical stamina (lifting, standing, bending for long periods)
- Basic math skills for measurements
- High school diploma or equivalent (trade certification preferred)
Work Environment
- Workshop or on-site residential/commercial settings
- Exposure to dust, fumes, and noise (PPE required)
- May require lifting 50+ lbs
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
