We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Entry-Level Technical Support Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals starting their IT career who enjoy solving technical problems, helping users, and learning new technologies. You will provide first-line technical support to employees or customers, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and escalate complex problems when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to support requests via phone, email, chat, or ticketing systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot basic hardware, software, network, and account-related issues.
- Assist users with password resets, software installations, and system access requests.
- Document incidents, solutions, and troubleshooting steps in the ticketing system.
- Escalate unresolved or complex issues to senior technical teams.
- Follow established service desk procedures and service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Assist with computer setup, device configuration, and onboarding support.
- Maintain accurate records of support activities and customer interactions.
- Provide excellent customer service while communicating technical information clearly.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, associate degree, or bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and common software applications.
- IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Google IT Support Professional Certificate, or similar.
- Familiarity with Windows, Microsoft Office, and internet/networking concepts.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Customer-service-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira Service Management.
- Internship, academic project, or Tech support experience.
Pay: $15.50 - $16.00 per hour
