Job Summary
The Investment Operations Specialist supports the processing and administration of public and private market investment transactions on behalf of client-facing advisory teams. This role serves as a primary point of contact for alternative investment operational matters, including subscriptions, contributions, distributions, and redemptions across a range of fund structures. The Specialist works cross-functionally with client teams, custodians, fund companies, and internal departments to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely execution of investment transactions.
Duties and Responsibilities

Process public and private market investment transactions for client teams, including Alternative Investment (AI) subscriptions, contributions, distributions, redemptions, and transfers.

Work with Technology Department & Custodian team to ensure the processes for AI’s at each custodian are up to date.

Assist in the implementation of processing new fund offerings for the client teams.

Review fund documentation for accuracy and completeness prior to submission. Facilitate review of items needing clarification with client teams.

Act as the liaison between client teams and fund companies to ensure timely communication on open issues, inquiries, and tax reporting.

Assist with fund reconciliation following closes and capital calls.

Communicate with custodians as needed regarding processing of AI paperwork.

Ensure all investment transactions adhere to internal mandates, SEC regulations, and AML/KYC requirements.

Modifies and documents internal business processes as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field preferred

Minimum 1 year of experience in investment operations, financial services, or a related back-office function

Familiarity with alternative investment products (hedge funds, private equity, real assets, or similar) preferred

Working knowledge of AML/KYC requirements and SEC regulatory standards preferred

Experience with custodian platforms and alternative investment subscription/documentation processes preferred

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with Salesforce CRM preferred

Must be authorized to work in the United States
