Si2 HEALTHCARE is currently seeking Board Certified/Board Eligible Physicians in Internal Medicine to provide Hospitalist coverage at the Fargo VA Health Care System in Fargo, North Dakota. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced physicians who are passionate about serving our nation’s Veterans while working in a collaborative federal healthcare environment.
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 24/7/365 hospital coverage, including federal holidays
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient Hospital Medicine services
- Perform admissions, histories and physicals, and ongoing inpatient management
- Order and interpret laboratory, imaging, ECG, and other diagnostic studies
- Manage acute and critically ill hospitalized patients
- Participate in codes and rapid response teams
- Coordinate specialty consultations and discharge planning
- Provide perioperative medical care
- Complete timely VA medical documentation and coding
- Perform procedures within approved clinical privileges, which may include thoracentesis, paracentesis, lumbar puncture, NG tube placement, catheter placement, joint aspiration/injection, and other hospitalist procedures
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
- Current, full and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state, territory, Commonwealth, or Washington, DC
- Current BLS and ACLS
- Current DEA registration and NPI
- Recent inpatient/hospitalist experience
