Responsibilities
- Greet every guest with warmth and genuine enthusiasm, creating a welcoming vibe from the moment they walk in
- Craft coffee, tea, and specialty beverages with consistency, care, and attention to detail
- Learn our menu inside and out so you can make recommendations and answer questions with confidence
- Operate the POS system to process orders and payments accurately
- Keep the kitchen, lounge, and patio areas clean, organized, and inviting throughout the shift — including prep stations, seating areas, and outdoor space
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards across all beverage and light food prep areas
- Restock supplies, manage cash handling, and help keep day-to-day operations running smoothly
- Assist with light food preparation as needed to support timely, quality service
- Help foster the club-like, community atmosphere that makes Chailo a place people want to return to
Requirements
- A naturally friendly, upbeat personality with a genuine interest in connecting with people
- Prior barista or food service experience preferred, but a great attitude and willingness to learn matter most
- Comfort with or willingness to learn POS systems
- Strong attention to detail and pride in cleanliness and presentation
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transactions
- Ability to stay energized and organized during busy periods
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physical tasks like cleaning and light prep
- Food safety certification, or willingness to obtain one upon hire

Pay: $17.00 - $18.50 per hour
