Job Description: The speech-language pathologist (SLP) works to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in the pediatric population. Additionally, SLPs provide training and education to family/caregivers and other professionals and work collaboratively with professionals from other disciplines.
Reports to: Clinical Director and Lead SLP
Position Type: Full or Part Time, Hourly or Salary (negotiable)
Start Date: End July, Early August 2026
Availability Required: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. We are flexible on the schedule and understand work life balance!
Qualifications Requirement:
- Masters of Speech Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competency OR eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year
- Current Michigan SLP Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in pediatrics and with those who have special needs is preferred
- Willingness to work in a collaborative team setting
- Candidates who are currently credentialed with major insurance companies is preferred, including Medicaid/Medicare
Other Requirements:
- Successful completion of criminal history background check and drug testing
- Willingness to lead summer speech and language groups as well as summer speech and language camps
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team with other professionals (i.e., OTs, PTs, BCBAs, etc.).
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs
Bluestone Children's Center is located in Livonia, Michigan and offers ABA therapy, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy and physical therapy. Bluestone is a family centered facility and is designed for children ages 2-13 with varying diagnoses. Currently, Bluestone offers a multidisciplinary approach to therapy including the collaboration between SLPs, OTs, BCBAs, counseling staff, and PTs. The center offers two gyms, a mini movie theater, a playroom, a haircut hut, a mock dental office, school like environment, and several other unique spaces to conduct therapy in a play based and functional environment!
The Bluestone Speech and Language Department is seeking a speech language pathologist who has experience working with young children of varying ages and disorders including but not limited to Autism, congenital disorders, mixed expressive/receptive language disorders, articulation and phonological disorders, Apraxia of Speech, swallowing disorders, stuttering, AAC, etc. We are seeking a SLP with availability Monday through Friday and between the times of 8am to 6pm. Flexibility in scheduling is available (i.e., 4 10 hour shifts or part time).
