Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Caregiver to provide dedicated support and assistance to children and individuals with special needs. This vital role involves nurturing, supervising, and engaging with children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children. As a Caregiver, you will create a safe, stimulating environment that promotes growth, learning, and well-being. Responsibilities
- Provide attentive supervision and care for children of different ages, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote childhood development, early learning, and fun
- Ensure safety through child supervision, behavior management, and adherence to mandated reporting laws when necessary
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, needs, and daily activities
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, dressing, and nap times for young children
- Apply first aid and CPR techniques promptly in case of emergencies to ensure safety and well-being
- Support children with disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized care to foster inclusion and participation
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as babysitting, nannying, childcare centers, or youth programs
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Experience caring for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or elementary school-age children
- Strong activity planning skills tailored to children's interests and developmental stages
- Certification in first aid and CPR from an accredited organization
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents, children, and team members while maintaining professionalism
