Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Orthodontic Technician with proven experience to join our dynamic dental team. We are looking to fill this position in both our Massapequa and Garden City location. In this vital role, you will support orthodontic treatment plans by preparing, fabricating, and adjusting orthodontic appliances, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Duties
- Fabricate, modify, and adjust orthodontic appliances such as braces, retainers, aligners, and expanders with precision and attention to detail
- Assist orthodontists during procedures by preparing materials and ensuring proper sterilization using aseptic techniques
- Manage and update patient records accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) system, knowledge of Cloud 9 is a plus, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging necessary for treatment planning and progress assessment
- Maintain inventory of orthodontic supplies and order materials as needed to ensure smooth clinic operations
- Support chairside assisting during orthodontic procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques
- Educate patients on appliance care, oral hygiene practices, and treatment expectations to foster compliance and comfort
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Orthodontic Technician or in a similar dental assisting role with a focus on orthodontics
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques
- Ability to operate dental equipment including 3D scanners, X-ray machines, and medical documentation tools

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
