Territory Sales Engineer

Location: Philadelphia, PA area. Covers Pennsylvania, excluding some counties in Western PA. The States of New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware.

Position Summary
Telesis Technologies, a leader in laser and pinstamp permanent marking solutions for product identification and traceability, is seeking a driven and technically capable Territory Sales Engineer. This role is responsible for developing new business, managing existing accounts, and delivering solutions that meet customer requirements for track-and-trace and product identification applications.
The ideal candidate combines strong sales skills with technical aptitude and thrives in a highly active, field-based role.
Key Responsibilities
- Spend a minimum of 3 days per week outside the office visiting customers, prospecting new opportunities, and conducting on-site meetings
- Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and strategic territory planning
- Conduct product demonstrations of laser and pinstamp marking systems at customer sites.
- Provide basic technical support and troubleshooting for customers, coordinating with engineering or service teams as needed
- Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, manufacturers, and end users across key industries
- Develop and execute a territory sales strategy to grow market share and revenue
- Maintain an active pipeline and deliver accurate sales forecasts on a regular basis
- Manage all customer interactions, opportunities, and activities within the company CRM system
- Meet or exceed assigned sales quotas and performance goals
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and technical solutions tailored to customer requirements
- Lead and support negotiations to close deals while maintaining profitability targets
- Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, marketing, service) to ensure customer success
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering, Technical Field, or related experience preferred
- 5+ years of experience in technical sales, industrial equipment, or manufacturing solutions
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude; ability to understand and explain technical products
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management abilities
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the assigned territory (50–70%)
- Experience with CRM systems and sales forecasting tools
Preferred Experience
- Knowledge of laser marking, dot peen (pinstamp), or industrial automation systems
- Experience in industries such as automotive, aerospace, medical devices, or general manufacturing
- Familiarity with product identification, serialization, and traceability systems
