Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and passionate Lead Barista to join our vibrant café team! Responsibilities
- Lead by example in preparing high-quality non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffees and teas, ensuring consistency and excellence in every cup
- Supervise daily café operations, including managing retail sales transactions using POS systems such as Square
- Train and mentor team members on beverage preparation, food handling, food safety standards, and customer service best practices
- Oversee cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and dining spaces to meet health regulations and food safety standards
- Handle cash register operations accurately, processing cash transactions and balancing cash drawers at shift end
- Deliver outstanding customer service by engaging with guests warmly, taking orders efficiently, and resolving any concerns promptly
- Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels of beverages, food items, and supplies, placing orders when necessary
Requirements
- Proven experience as a barista with strong knowledge of coffee & matcha preparation techniques and beverage service standards
- Prior food service or café experience with familiarity in retail sales transactions and cashiering procedures
- Skilled in using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing sales accurately
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with diverse guests
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, proper food handling procedures, and basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing
- Ability to lead a team confidently while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
