The Role
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our kitchen team. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to perfection while maintaining the highest standards of quality and cleanliness. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and values teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Food Preparation: Prepare ingredients and cook dishes according to the café’s recipes and standards.
- Station Management: Maintain a clean and organized workstation during and after shifts.
- Efficiency: Work effectively under pressure to deliver high-quality meals in a timely manner.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate and coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Quality Control: Consistently check the freshness, presentation, and taste of all food items.
- Compliance: Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations, ensuring a safe and clean kitchen environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a line cook or in a similar role, must communicate in english
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Culinary school training is a plus but not required.
