Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans focused on literacy, math, and early childhood education principles.
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and maintaining a safe, organized environment.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote social skills, creativity, and critical thinking.
- Provide individualized attention to children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements.
- Help supervise children during transitions, snack times, outdoor play, and other daily routines.
- Contribute to curriculum development by suggesting engaging activities aligned with educational standards.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to ensure a supportive learning atmosphere.
Skills
- Experience working with children in classroom or daycare settings, including preschool or early childhood education environments.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development, behavior management, and classroom management techniques.
- Familiarity with teaching methods such as Montessori or other preschool curricula is a plus.
- Ability to plan and adapt lessons for diverse learners, including those with autism or other disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and families.
- Technical proficiency in educational tools or software used for curriculum planning or student tracking.
- Demonstrated patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for working with young children to foster their growth and curiosity.
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
