Job Summary:
Saint Luke Catholic School is seeking a full-time Kindergarten Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. The Kindergarten teacher will be responsible for instructing students in all core academic subjects as well as religion in alignment with Catholic teachings.
Responsibilities:
- Teach all core Kindergarten subjects, including religion
- Create a supportive, structured, and engaging classroom environment
- Implement effective classroom management strategies
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents/guardians
- Support early literacy development, including familiarity with the Science of Reading
- Foster students’ academic, social, and spiritual growth
Qualifications:
- Strong commitment to the Catholic faith and Catholic education mission
- Passion for working with young children
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills
- Experience with early childhood education preferred
- Familiarity with the Science of Reading strongly preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Requirements:
- Must submit a completed application to the Diocese of Arlington
- Willingness to obtain VCEA certification
