Role Overview
Job Impulse, Inc. is hiring immediately Automotive Quality Inspector in Spartanburg, SC to ensure automotive parts, assemblies, and materials meet strict quality benchmarks and safety codes.
- Pay: $19.00 / hour
- Hours: 2nd Shift | 2:50 PM – 11:00 PM | Monday – Friday
- Overtime: Required availability for voluntary/mandatory Saturday shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect Parts: Perform visual and dimensional checks using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Log Findings: Record data and flag all component deviations, defects, or errors.
- Find Root Causes: Partner with assembly teams to investigate and prevent part failures.
- Maintain Standards: Ensure plant compliance with safety guidelines and ISO standards.
- Support Production: Provide real-time quality feedback directly to the manufacturing line.
- Drive Improvement: Participate in plant problem-solving and lean manufacturing goals.
Position Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or verified GED equivalent.
- Technical Skill: Proven capability reading calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
- Aptitude: Sharp attention to detail on a fast-paced production floor.
- Screening: Ability to pass required background check and drug protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience: 1+ years of automotive manufacturing or quality control experience.
- Credentials: Formal quality control, ASQ, or mechanical inspector certifications.
Physical Demands & Environment
- Physicals: Stand/sit for long intervals and lift up to 25 pounds routinely.
- Vision: Strong corrected/uncorrected vision to catch cosmetic defects.
- Environment: Fast-paced plant with heavy machinery and industrial noise.
- Safety: All necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is fully provided.
