Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Mobile Electronics Technician / Field Service Van Technician to join our team. This role performs the same repair and sales responsibilities as our in-store technicians but operates primarily from a company service van, traveling to different store locations and customer sites as needed.
This position requires strong technical repair ability, customer service skills, and comfort working independently in a mobile environment.
Key Responsibilities Technical Repairs
- Repair phones, tablets, computers, and gaming consoles
- Perform device diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Complete cleanings, data transfers, and device setups
- Maintain high repair quality and turnaround standards
Mobile & Field Operations
- Operate a company service van safely and professionally
- Travel between assigned store locations
- Perform on-site repairs when required
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the service van
- Manage parts and inventory within the mobile unit
Sales & Revenue Responsibilities
- Sell phone accessories (cases, screen protectors, chargers, etc.)
- Educate customers on warranty and protection programs
- Offer service add-ons such as:
- Data transfers
- Device cleanings
- Software support
- Meet or exceed performance metrics (attach rates & non-repair revenue)
Inventory & Accountability
- Track and manage van inventory and repair parts
- Maintain inventory accuracy
- Report parts usage and replenishment needs
- Protect company tools and assets
Compensation Structure
- Hourly base pay (based on experience)
- Commission opportunities:
- 10% of non-repair revenue
- $20 per Connected Home / ATC sale
- Performance-based raise opportunities
Qualifications
- Experience repairing smartphones, tablets, laptops, or consoles
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Comfortable driving daily between locations
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
- Sales or retail experience preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently
Work Environment
- Work independently from a mobile service van
- Travel throughout the assigned market

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
