Job Summary
The Billing Specialist will work with long-term care nursing facility staff, insurance carriers, and patient responsible parties for completeness, proper billing and timely collections. Partial List of Responsibilities
- Research and correct patient pay source
- Adjudicate insurance claims for prescription drugs
- Prepare facility and private pay invoices
- Manage past due balances for insurance, facility, and private pay
Skills
- Attention to detail
- Good organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Adherence to laws, regulations and confidentiality guidelines
- Experience in billing or healthcare a plus
