Job Summary
The Hardware Store Stock Associate is responsible for maintaining organized, well-stocked shelves while supporting daily store operations. This role also assists customers on the floor, ensures accurate inventory levels, and helps create a clean and efficient shopping environment.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Stock shelves and displays with incoming merchandise in assigned areas.
- Maintain proper product placement, labeling, and pricing accuracy.
- Assist customers with locating products and answering basic questions.
- Perform regular inventory counts and report discrepancies to management.
- Operate Zebra scanning equipment for inventory tracking and product management.
- Keep aisles, shelves, and storage areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Replenish fast-moving items and monitor low-stock products.
- Assist with unloading deliveries and organizing backstock.
- Support store operations with special projects and tasks as assigned.
- Work collaboratively with team members to maintain an efficient and customer-friendly environment.

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous retail, warehouse, or stocking experience preferred.
- Experience using inventory systems or handheld scanners (Zebra or similar) is a plus.
- Familiarity with hardware or building materials is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds regularly.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments as needed.
- Ability to safely handle and move merchandise.
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
