The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for growing revenue within an assigned territory by developing new business, strengthening existing customer relationships, and delivering exceptional customer experience. This position serves as a visible representative of the company in the market and plays a key role in increasing customer loyalty, share of wallet, and market share.
The ideal candidate is a bilingual sales professional who communicates effectively in both English and Spanish, understands how to manage long-term customer relationships, and can identify opportunities to expand business within existing and prospective accounts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and grow strong relationships with existing customers through consistent communication, regular account visits, and proactive follow-up.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Support customers before, during, and after the sale to ensure a high level of service and satisfaction.
- Recommend products and solutions based on customer needs, project requirements, and business objectives.
- Increase share of wallet within current accounts through strategic account development, cross-selling, and upselling.
- Represent the company as a professional brand ambassador in all customer and market interactions.
- Prepare quotes, estimates, bids, and related sales documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding pricing, product availability, delivery schedules, warranties, and credit terms.
- Coordinate with internal teams to support order management, service resolution, and customer follow-through.
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing trends, product developments, and market conditions to identify opportunities for growth.
- Develop and execute territory plans to expand market penetration and support overall sales goals.
- Maintain accurate customer records, sales activity reports, forecasts, and expense reports.
- Participate in sales meetings, product training, and ongoing professional development activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of the sales organization.
- Qualifications
- Related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- Minimum of five years of outside sales experience required.
- Industry experience in windows, doors, construction, or building materials strongly preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to grow existing accounts and develop new business.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple responsibilities.
