Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Environmental Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe and sanitary environment within our facilities, particularly in a casino setting. The Environmental Specialist will be responsible for implementing cleaning protocols, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and promoting best practices in environmental services.
Duties
- Conduct thorough cleaning and sanitization of all areas within the facility, including patient rooms, waiting areas, restrooms, and common spaces.
- Perform floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and waxing to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other relevant health guidelines to promote a safe working environment.
- Utilize appropriate cleaning agents and equipment effectively while adhering to safety protocols.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and report needs for replenishment.
- Collaborate with team members to develop efficient cleaning schedules that minimize disruption to facility operations.
- Provide training on proper custodial techniques and environmental services to new staff members.
Experience
- Previous experience in environmental services or custodial roles is preferred, particularly in hospital or commercial cleaning environments.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment operation is advantageous.
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and OSHA regulations is essential.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
