Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Patuxent Outdoors Manager/Landscape Designer to lead our landscape projects and manage outdoor operations. This role combines creative landscape design with hands-on project management, ensuring that each outdoor space we craft is both beautiful and functional. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in horticulture, landscape architecture, and construction, with a passion for sustainable design and innovative solutions.
Operational Responsibilities
- Oversight of all aspects of the Patuxent Outdoors Department, including development of a yearly budget and manage
- Responsible for achieving budgeted sales and profit objectives of the Patuxent Outdoors Department
- Assist in the development of a marketing plan to promote Patuxent Outdoors
- Assist with Retail Sales activities in the Nursery by training the Yard Sales Staff on: Customer Service & Upsell Techniques, How to sell Planting Services, and when to suggest Patuxent Outdoors Landscaping Service
Production Responsibilities
- Coordinate labor, materials and production for all jobs.
- Ensure we comply with local requirements (Miss Utility, Permits, etc..)
- Place and track orders with buyers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Application for all necessary permits as required by local authorities.
- Ensure all materials leaving the nursery for a job are properly tracked and removed from Inventory.
Sales Responsibilities
- Qualify and screen leads via telephone
- Set up sales appointments
- Bid prospective jobs and provide written proposals.
- Collection of deposits, job draws and final payment from customers.
- Final walkthrough of completed jobs with customers and/or sub contractors.
- Manage and schedule service/warranty calls
Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
