POSITION SUMMARY
The Heavy Equipment Operator II performs skilled equipment operations involving small utility work, bulk excavation, and cut/fill operations. This position operates multiple pieces of equipment and works independently to support project production and quality goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate dozers, mini excavators, wheel loaders, track loaders, and support equipment.- Perform bulk earthmoving and utility excavation.
- Load and unload materials.
- Perform daily equipment inspections.
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and safe operating conditions.
- Follow grade stakes and project plans.
- Learn and utilize GPS machine control systems.
- Support and direct work activities as needed.
- Maintain all company safety standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
Heavy equipment operating experience.- Experience in site development or utility construction.
- Ability to work independently.
- Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
Preferred:
- GPS experience.
- CDL Class A or B.
- OSHA certifications.
COMPENSATION
$31.00 - $34.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
