Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to support students in their educational journey. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers and students, providing assistance in various classroom activities and ensuring a positive learning environment. This role is essential for fostering student development, especially for those with special needs, including autism and other disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities tailored to individual student needs.
- Support students in literacy and math education, ensuring comprehension and engagement.
- Help manage classroom behavior and promote a positive learning atmosphere.
- Provide one-on-one support to students, particularly those with disabilities or special education needs.
- Facilitate small group instruction and assist with curriculum development as needed.
- Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with teachers regarding any concerns or achievements.
- Engage in early childhood education practices, including toddler care and preschool activities.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with parents, educators, and specialists to support student development effectively.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is preferred.
- Strong background in special education, early childhood education, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Knowledge of literacy education, math concepts, and curriculum development is beneficial.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities is a plus.
- Previous experience in daycare or private school settings is advantageous.

Pay: $34,222.00 - $56,726.00 per year
