We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Animal Caretaker to join our team. Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising.
- Monitor animal health and behavior, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff.
- Maintain cleanliness in animal enclosures, kennels, and common areas.
- Assist with administering medications and treatments as directed by veterinary personnel.
- Handle animals safely and effectively during routine care and procedures.
- Support front desk operations by greeting visitors and providing information about our services.
- Participate in training programs to enhance knowledge of animal husbandry practices.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain accurate records of animal care.
Skills
- Proficient in animal husbandry practices, including knowledge of dietary needs and behavioral cues.
- Experience working in a kennel or laboratory setting is preferred.
- Excellent animal handling skills with the ability to restrain animals safely when necessary.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with team members and pet owners.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
