This role is responsible for the implementation of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) strategies to improve asset reliability, safety, and operational performance. The individual will analyze equipment failure modes, maintenance data, and operational risks to determine the most effective maintenance practices and intervals. The position requires facilitating RCM analyses, identifying opportunities to reduce unplanned failures, and ensuring maintenance programs are aligned with business objectives. The successful candidate will track performance metrics, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and support a culture of proactive asset management.
Position is based out of the Union Pacific Center in Omaha, NE, however you will travel up to 30% and work in a diesel shop environment in order to support your projects.
In addition you will help improve locomotive availability, reliability and performance for Union Pacific and the customers the railroad serves. You will provide technical guidance to fellow employees and management, which includes, Locomotive troubleshooting, clear communication on work to be performed, equipment status, productivity, and process improvements. Develop, manage and implement projects for ensuring the locomotives that serve Union Pacific customers are as safe, productive, efficient and reliable as possible. This role researches, develops, establishes and implements locomotive plans, standards, technology and programs. The position provides recommendations for meeting regulatory requirements for the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) and regulatory agencies. Work with fellow employees and management to promote, maintain, and drive continuous improvement with safe work practices.
