Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Personal Care Assistant to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
- Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols and safety guidelines
- Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation
- Follow safe patient lifting practices and manual handling techniques to ensure safety for both clients and caregivers
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition tailored to individual needs
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, client progress, and any changes in condition
Skills
- Previous experience in assisted living or long-term care environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and behavioral management strategies
- Ability to operate standard passenger vehicles safely when transporting clients or running errands
- Familiarity with home & community care practices as well as residential or personal care home settings
- Experience working with individuals with developmental or cognitive disabilities is advantageous
- Certification in CPR and First Aid to respond effectively during emergencies
- Strong communication skills for engaging with clients, families, and healthcare teams effectively
