Position Summary
We are a premier, upscale gentlemen's club located in downtown D.C. We are looking for a seasoned, sharp-witted Manager to lead operations at our premier gentlemen’s club. This isn’t a "sit-in-the-office" role; we need a floor-focused leader who can maintain an elite atmosphere while managing the high-pressure dynamics of DC nightlife. You will be responsible for the seamless integration of VIP services, staff management, and strict regulatory compliance, ensuring every guest receives a concierge-level experience.
Responsibilities & Duties
Floor Leadership & Guest Experience
- Maintain a constant, high-visibility presence on the floor during peak hours to oversee service flow, sound levels, lighting transitions, and overall venue "energy."
- Partner with the Stage Manager and House Mom to ensure entertainer rotations are timely, professional, and consistent with the brand's upscale image.
- Act as the final point of escalation for guest complaints or disputes, resolving issues with a focus on brand protection and guest retention.
- Proven leadership skills: desire to develop and motivate the people around you to always be their best.
- Energetic and positive.
Personnel & Culture
- Issue and document disciplinary actions, coaching, or terminations in alignment with company policy and DC labor laws.
- Enforce a strict "zero-tolerance" policy regarding harassment or unprofessional conduct between staff, entertainers, and guests.
- Master-schedule entertainers to ensure peak performance.
Compliance, Security & Risk Management
- Ensure every shift operates in total compliance with DC Alcoholic Beverage Regulation Administration laws. This includes rigorous ID verification at the door and monitoring for over-intoxication.
- Maintain a detailed nightly log of any significant incidents, ejections, or regulatory visits to protect the venue’s liquor and business licenses.
Required Professional Skills
- Strategic De-escalation: The ability to move through a crowded room and diffuse a situation before it becomes a security issue.
- DC Regulatory Expertise: A working knowledge of Washington D.C. labor codes, health safety requirements, and ABRA mandates.
Communication & Interpersonal Excellence
- Strong patience and communication skills.
- The ability to communicate firmly yet respectfully with diverse personalities, including high-profile guests, staff, and law enforcement.
- Mastery of professional radio etiquette and shorthand to coordinate with security, bar staff, and the front door instantly.
- Ability to draft concise, professional nightly reports for ownership regarding revenue, incidents, and operational needs.
- Exceptional verbal skills to diffuse tension and resolve conflicts before they require physical intervention.
Specialized Technical & Soft Skills
- The ability to "read the room" in low-light, high-decibel environments to anticipate operational bottlenecks or security risks.
- Proficiency in nightlife POS systems (Toast/Aloha) and cash handling protocols
- Absolute Discretion: A proven track record of maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of high-profile clientele.
- Decision Making: The ability to make fair, rapid-fire decisions regarding floor cuts, guest entry, and staff discipline under pressure.
Experience & Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of leadership in a high-volume nightlife or club environment (Gentleman’s club experience is heavily preferred).
- Valid DC ABRA Manager’s License (Mandatory).
- Ability to work a grueling nightlife schedule (Evening hours, late nights, weekends, holidays).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting directly to ownership.
Physical Requirements
- Sensory Adaptability: Ability to function at peak performance in settings with high noise levels, low lighting, and theatrical effects (haze/flashing lights).
- Visual/Auditory Acuity: Must be able to read identification documents in low light and monitor radio communications over loud music.
- Mobility: Ability to navigate crowded spaces, stairwells, and narrow service corridors quickly.
