Applicants Must Have a Minimum of One (1) Year of Verifiable Commercial Driving Experience in the Past Three (3) Years or Five (5) Years of Verifiable Commercial Driving Experience in the Past Ten (10) Years.
Working for The Packageman, Inc., a Contracted Service Provider for FedEx Ground, Providing Package Pick Up and Delivery Service within the Casper, Wyoming Area.
Employees Are Paid By the Day. Ideally, The Scheduled Days are Less Than Eight (8) Hours
There is a sign on bonus for this job of $500 after six months of employment.
You will operate a vehicle, within an assigned service area, making deliveries and handling pick-ups of packages and freight. The number of stops and packages handled will vary based on the composition of the assigned service area. Commercial work areas will handle more packages and fewer stops. Residential work areas will handle more stops and fewer packages. The amount of stops on a daily basis will range from 60 to 160.
You will need to do a Pre-Trip Inspection on your vehicle each morning, before leaving the facility.
You will be required to stop at each stop assigned to your work area on a daily basis. You will operate a handheld scanner to scan packages for delivery. You will deliver to a specified location at each address, usually the front door. You will gather signatures or identification as required for certain deliveries. You will stop at designated pick-up locations assigned to your work area and pick up what is required at each location. You will complete all deliveries and pick-ups assigned to you on a daily basis.
You will need to do a Post-Trip Inspection on your vehicle each day upon returning to the facility and then log out of the scanner.
