Overview
The Delivery Dispatch role assists the Manager of Delivery Operations in the overall function of the Delivery Operation. Includes tracking of all deliveries and routes from start to completion via phone and GPS tracking software. Assisting in the dispatch logistics, helping to identify and solve any issues with drivers on the road. Also working with and assisting volunteers with the delivery of client meals. Assembles and distributes all driver route paperwork for following day.
Start time is 8 AM to 4 PM but at times may need to be flexible depending on the department need.
· Works with Delivery Ops teams to assist with driver pack out in the morning and make sure no food is left behind in freezer.
· Communicates via telephone and email with colleagues and clients regarding delivery operations.
· Track delivery drivers throughout the day and assist when needed with directions, entry instructions or any other issues that may affect delivery status.
· Work with and assist volunteers that do walking and car deliveries from KORS.
· Tracks and reports status of Fed Ex deliveries daily.
· Maintain communication with NMDC centers. Also tracks, reports, and follows up on NMDC deliveries status daily.
· Updates delivery status updates into CATS and Salesforce in the future
· Update Care Transition record worksheet
· Maintain communication between departments on updates of client and delivery information.
· Consolidate Prima service list and identify repeat repair patterns.
· Acts as back up driver as needed.
· Maintains valid NYS Driver’s License.
· Support all other Delivery operations needs as Gods Love continues to grow through multiple locations, are supported; driver support and meal transfer support etc.
· To understand and support the basics of routing to assist the Router Dispatcher when necessary with bag labels, ERs and Care Transition deliveries.

In addition, the right candidate meets the following requirements:
· High School Diploma or Equivalent.
· Valid Class B CDL.
· Previous experience working in Dispatch or transportation industry. Food industry experience would be an asset.
· Knowledge of the NY Tri-State Area.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively internally and externally.
· Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
· Ability to demonstrate good judgment.
· Ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions in a timely manner.
· Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Pay: $66,500.00 per year
