Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit, ensuring a positive dining or drinking experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS system such as Toast POS, and relay orders efficiently to kitchen and bar staff
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, wine, craft beers, spirits, and non-alcoholic options, following established recipes or creating new ones through beverage recipe development
- Manage cash transactions accurately, process payments promptly, and handle cash handling responsibilities with integrity
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and dining areas in compliance with food safety standards and food handling protocols
- Engage with guests to promote menu items, including specials or new drinks, leveraging sales skills to enhance revenue opportunities
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during busy periods such as banquets or catering events
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment is highly preferred
- Fine dining experience or familiarity with upscale service standards is a plus
- Strong knowledge of mixology techniques, beverage recipes, wine varieties, spirits, and brewing processes
- Experience with POS systems like Toast POS for order processing and cash handling
- Excellent time management skills to juggle multiple tables or bar stations efficiently
- Customer service skills that foster positive guest interactions and promote repeat business
- Basic math proficiency for processing transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations
- Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling procedures in accordance with industry standards
