We are a Workers’ Compensation Law Firm. We are looking for an experienced Calendar Clerk/Assistant to add to the team in our Agoura Hills office. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail oriented and work well under pressure with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and have pride in work product. This is a fast-paced position that requires critical thinking skills, and the ability to problem-solve.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 2-3 years as a Calendar Clerk in a defense workers compensation law firm.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Adobe Acrobat and Dropbox or other shared cloud storage.
- Ability to identify urgent tasks and to prioritize accordingly -
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Able to display problem-solving skills by developing methods or approaches to getting the work done
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure
- Ability to adapt to new situations and changing priorities
- Knowledge of Merus Case is a plus, but not a requirement
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Screening attorney's calls
- Maintaining up-to-date electronic files
- Daily review of office calendar, and proactively assisting in the handling of upcoming events.
- Scheduling/coordinating and filing/serving of various documents, medical examinations and other court designated hearings; scheduling depositions
- Following up with doctors regarding appointments and reports
- Preparing Schedule of Records
- Preparing Exhibits

Salary: $3,000.00 - $3,500.00 per month

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the attorneys' calendars, schedule appointments, and arrange meetings.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel to schedule hearings and depositions.
- Prepare hearing and deposition notices and ensure timely service to all parties.
- Update case management system and maintain accurate records of all calendar-related activities.
- Assist with other administrative duties as assigned.
