Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive, creating a positive first impression and setting the tone for their visit
- Manage guest seating efficiently, balancing wait times and ensuring smooth flow of service
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS accurately for processing payments and orders
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and receipts with attention to detail and integrity
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, assisting with menu selections, and addressing guest needs promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host stand and cashier station to uphold high standards of hygiene and presentation
- Support guest relations by demonstrating hospitality, phone etiquette, and effective communication skills throughout interactions
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Host or Hostess in food service or restaurant settings preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and guest interaction techniques
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience is a plus but not required
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- A friendly attitude, proactive approach, and team-oriented mindset are essential for success in this role
