We are looking for an awesome Group Fitness Coach to bring on board to Rise Athletics LA. We have a 15,000 sq ft facility that offers HIIT Training, Boxing, Kickboxing, Jiujitsu, Yoga, Wrestling and more.
We also have an in house physical therapist therapist.
We'd like to add a great new coach for our Hybrid HIIT program that will make members feel motivated and appreciated.
Assist in...
...retention of existing clients through amazing customer service,
...promotion of all internal offers (both supplements and internal specialty programs) and internal events held by the business by announcing them with the intention of getting clients excited before AND after every session.
...acquiring new customers through targeted referral questions at both internal events and before and after workouts and through digital interactions on social media and texts.
Requirements:
Must be high energy. Must not be selfish or self-centered. Must be a team player. Must understand that this is a business and in order to help people and provide for all employees, it must be profitable. Must have sales aptitude (meaning not afraid to ask clients to do things). Must LOVE appreciating customers and giving them an amazing experience to actually retain them and keep them coming back. Must give EXCEPTIONAL service.
Responsibilities:
Beginning of Shift
o Set up workouts.
o Always have workout displayed on board prior to clients arriving.
o Greet customers with a smile when they arrive
o Spot check the facility to make sure nothing is out of place
During Sessions
o Never be on your cell phone (unless shooting video of class)
o Demonstrate all exercises prior to having anyone start.
o Try and engage with every customer as many times as possible
o Never sit down
o Do not carry items (shaker, water bottle, etc.) with you while you coach
o Pace the room and coach all members
o Show, don’t tell. Demonstrate when someone is having issues.
o If giving physical cues, ask if you can touch the client, and always use knuckles outwards
The position entails the following responsibilities.
~Adhere to the description of the class and modify the intensity for participants when necessary;
~Continuously monitor the exercise intensity throughout the duration of the class;
~Ensure class begins and ends on time;
~Instructing members through proper movements of exercises;
~Conducting the classes in a professional manner
~Keeping the members motivated.
This is not a complete description, and certain responsibilities may additionally be presented along the course of employment:
Knowledge of Olympic Lifting Technique, instruction, and execution is a must.
The successful candidate should have the following experience and qualifications:
~Must possess a current Crossfit level 1, NSCA CSCS, NASM CPT or relevant certification.
~Have experience teaching Group Fitness classes in a related discipline;
~Must possess and maintain current CPR/AED certification;
~Must be well-versed in basic anatomy, kinesiology, contraindicated exercises, exercise modifications for all populations
~Must be eager to learn and continue professional development and education;
~Must be friendly, vibrant, and outgoing;
~Must have access to regular email and phone communication.

Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
