The primary responsibility of the Forklift Operator is to support warehouse operations through
the safe and efficient loading and unloading of product, inventory movement, and daily facility
upkeep. This role ensures accurate inventory handling, maintains warehouse cleanliness and
safety standards, and contributes to the timely preparation of deliveries.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safely and accurately unload inbound / outbound product deliveries and receive them
into inventory.
- Utilize WMS system to locate, receive and move products.
- Assist in selection and loading of kegs.
- Assist in returning good beer.
- Clear dunnage from pick row and load dunnage returns to breweries following company
and supplier guidelines and submit accurate paperwork to shift manager.
- Load trucks for outbound deliveries.
- Safely operate balers to compress cardboard, plastic, and process completed bales
properly.
- Maintain company cleanliness and organizational standards in assigned areas daily.
- Fill pick row daily as needed, following product rotation guidelines.
- Responsible for movement to staging area of POS (point-of-sale) materials for sales to
put away
- Safely operates warehouse equipment including forklift, baler, sweeper/scrubber,
electric jack, wrapper, glue gun, and manual pallet jack.
- Process out-of-date, unsalable and close-date product by warehouse.
- Assists in morning check out process of trucks, loading and corrections.
- Follow all company safety rules and practices, including pre-work and post-work
inspections.
- Utilize fork extensions when moving large wooden pallets to keep from splitting pallets
- Build customer pickups and hot shot orders
- Obey all local, state, and federal laws and/or regulations.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
