Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable Assistant Carpenter/Helper to join our custom woodworking shop. You will work alongside our lead carpenters to build high-end furniture, cabinets, and custom woodwork. This is a great opportunity to learn the trade and improve your woodworking skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Help build and assemble custom cabinets, furniture, and wood projects.
- Cut and sand wood using shop tools like table saws, routers, and sanders.
- Glue and clamp wood pieces together precisely.
- Load and move heavy wood materials and finished pieces safely.
- Keep the shop clean by sweeping, organizing tools, and clearing debris.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience: Basic woodworking, shop, or finish carpentry experience is preferred.
- Math Skills: Ability to read a tape measure
- Tool Skills: Comfortable using basic hand and power tools safely.
- Physical Ability: Can stand for long periods and lift up to [50+] pounds.
- Reliability: Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Traits: Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
