Responsibilities
Provide high-quality patient care to PCU patients, ensuring safety and comfort.
Monitor patient conditions, document progress, and report changes promptly to the care team.
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols.
Maintain accurate documentation for all patient encounters and procedures.
Ensure compliance with safety, privacy, and regulatory standards at all times.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure seamless care transitions.
Prioritize and manage a clear pipeline of patient care tasks and discharge planning.
Assist with triage and prioritization of patient needs in a fast-paced PCU setting.
Engage in continuous professional development and pursue growth opportunities within the role.
Demonstrate accountability for personal performance and contribute to team targets.
Participate in on-site quality improvement and workflow optimization initiatives.
Experience/Qualifications
Valid RN license in the state of practice and current CPR certification.
Minimum 1–2 years PCU or step-down experience preferred.
Ability to administer medications and manage treatments per orders with safety checks.
Strong patient safety, privacy (HIPAA), and regulatory compliance adherence.
Proficient in patient assessment, documentation, and charting per hospital protocols.
Excellent triage, prioritization, and rapid decision-making in a fast-paced PCU.
