WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Digital Product Owner Associate supports product delivery activities by assisting with requirements documentation, backlog maintenance, testing coordination, and stakeholder follow-up under the guidance of senior product team members. This role helps translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, process documentation, and supporting artifacts for review and refinement. The role participates in Agile ceremonies, supports product demos and feedback documentation, and assists with release readiness and continuous improvement activities. This position applies working knowledge of product ownership, business analysis, and digital delivery concepts while supporting customer- and dealer-focused enhancements.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Backlog Support & Requirements Documentation
Assist senior product team members in gathering input from business stakeholders and documenting business needs.
Assist with drafting user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and supporting documentation for review and refinement.
Help maintain backlog items by updating details, attaching documentation, and tracking open questions or follow-up items.
Support requirement clarification by documenting assumptions, decisions, dependencies, and business rules.
Assist with ensuring documented requirements align with applicable business processes, controls, and quality standards.
Stakeholder Coordination & Agile Team Support
Coordinate with business, technology, operations, QA, and compliance partners to collect information, clarify documented needs, and support delivery activities.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Support stakeholder reviews and product demos by preparing materials, capturing feedback, and documenting action items.
Summarize stakeholder feedback and provide input to senior product team members for backlog review and prioritization discussions.
Escalate open questions, risks, or issues to senior product team members for guidance and resolution.
Testing & Release Support
Support test planning and user acceptance testing by preparing test scenarios, validating documented requirements, and recording test results.
Assist with documenting defects, open issues, and follow-up items during testing and release activities.
Support release readiness activities, including documentation updates, communication support, training material updates, and issue tracking.
Help track basic delivery status, adoption indicators, or product performance metrics and prepare updates for review by senior product team members.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Gather information from internal teams such as UX, data, architecture, security, and support to assist with product documentation and delivery coordination.
Assist with tracking cross-team dependencies, risks, and issues and communicate status to appropriate product team members.
Support follow-up on assigned action items to help maintain delivery momentum and team alignment.
Qualifications
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
Minimum 2-4 years related experience in business analysis, product support, digital delivery, operations support, project coordination, or a related business or technology role.
Preferred:
Exposure to product ownership, product management, Agile delivery, business analysis, or digital product delivery.
Experience assisting with requirements documentation, user stories, acceptance criteria, testing support, process documentation, or cross-functional coordination.
Experience supporting implementation, testing, release activities, or process improvement initiatives.
Exposure to CRM systems, business process management, digital workflows, or process automation concepts.
Familiarity with Agile delivery, requirements management, or project tracking tools is a plus.
Automotive, financial services, dealer operations, customer operations, or sales enablement experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Agile, product ownership, business analysis, process improvement, or project coordination training is a plus.
SAFe Agile, Certified Scrum Product Owner, Six Sigma, Salesforce, or related certifications are a plus.
Working understanding of Agile principles, product development lifecycle concepts, and backlog management practices.
Ability to assist with documenting business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and supporting artifacts.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to organize information clearly, accurately, and consistently.
Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and cross-functional partners.
Ability to manage assigned tasks, track follow-up items, document action items, and meet deadlines with guidance from senior team members.
Ability to support testing and release activities, including preparing test scenarios, documenting results, tracking defects, and following up on assigned items.
Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, summarize options, and escalate recommendations for review.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, and Word.
