Responsible for wearing the proper mandatory safety gear in designated areas/situations.
Responsible to uphold the Company’s Mission, Vision and Values.
Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures and OSHA guidelines.
Must be trained and licensed at Major Metals Company as a lift truck driver.
Ensure safety of all employees in close proximity.
Assure that all products are handled with caution to ensure product is damage free and efficiently moved to assure mill does not shut down.
Responsible to maintain order in Warehouse for customer shipments to be accurate and timely.
Keep all material together with matching work order.
Inspect and record on shipping inspection for quality as the last eyes before customer receiving the product.
Ensure all tubes are de-dimpled.
Assure tag matches material to be moved and all tags are properly attached.
Load truck without denting the material/product.
Pull tags required for shipment.
Scan tags as loading trucks.
Ensure load is properly strapped and tarped before giving the driver the bill of lading.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Pay range is $16-$19 per hour, based on experience.
Shift hours are 6 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Hours worked over 40 are paid at one and a half times hourly rate.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
Must have lift truck license
High school diploma or GED preferred

Physical Requirements:

This person is responsible for the safe and correct operation of lift trucks.
May need to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with federal, state and local standards

PPE:

Safety Glasses

Steel Toe Shoes (Slip Resistant)

Gloves (Rubber or Leather) as needed

Face shield and earmuffs when required

Ear plugs
