Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Breakfast Attendant to join our hospitality team at the new Plymouth Social American Tavern located within the newly renovated JohnCarver Inn & Spa. This role involves providing exceptional guest service during breakfast hours, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment, and assisting with food and beverage service. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, customer service, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Duties
- Set up breakfast buffet area, ensuring presentation is appealing and stocked appropriately throughout service.
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide friendly in-person customer service.
- Clear tables, bussing dishes promptly to maintain cleanliness and readiness for new guests.
- Replenish supplies such as utensils, condiments, and beverages as needed during service hours.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas through regular cleaning and sanitizing.
- Handle guest inquiries professionally via phone or in person, providing information about menu options or hotel services.
- Assist with basic food handling tasks, including meal preparation and portioning when necessary.
- Operate POS systems for order taking and cash handling accurately.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact courteously with guests and team members.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting (up to 40 pounds), bending, and walking throughout the shift.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and POS operation.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and cleanliness.
- This position requires availability to be on time for your shift at 6am, ready to open at 7am, and close promptly at 11am.
- Must be available weekends and holidays in needed.
- Must have reliable transportation in all kinds of weather.
