Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate ILS Facilitators, Caregivers, Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team. These roles are vital in providing personalized support to individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, behavioral health needs, and other disabilities. The ideal candidates will possess strong communication skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to promote independence while ensuring safety and comfort in home and community settings.
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Implement behavior management strategies tailored to individual needs to promote positive behaviors and emotional well-being.
- Support clients in community outings, transportation, and social engagement activities while ensuring safety.
- Collect and document data related to client progress, behavior patterns, medication administration, and service delivery.
- Collaborate with families, team members, and other professionals to develop and update individualized care plans.
- Assist with medications accuracy, following prescribed schedules and safety protocols.
- Use effective communication techniques such as American Sign Language when needed to facilitate understanding and interaction.
Skills
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism in home or community settings.
- Knowledge of special education principles and behavioral health practices.
- Strong caregiving skills with a focus on assisting with ADLs and promoting independence.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging clients, families, and team members effectively.
- Ability to operate a vehicle safely for client transportation purposes.
- Familiarity with data collection methods related to client progress and behavioral observations.
- Understanding of medication administration procedures and safety guidelines.
- Experience in social work or home & community care is advantageous for providing holistic support.
